History and Foundations of Chimiderouil

The Chimiderouil name appeared in France in the 1950s with the main activity of metal revaluation, focusing on the development, production and distribution of chemical products intended for the surface treatment of metals.

Since its creation, the name Chimiderouil has always been associated with the most important projects where the role of metals was preponderant. Chimiderouil is thus the basis of numerous specifications and procedures concerning the implementation and maintenance of metals in fields as varied as nuclear power, architecture, the aeronautics sector, and many others.

Innovations and Technological Developments

Chimiderouil has constantly followed the evolution of the use of metals in these different applications: after having first been the basis of numerous formulations of carbon steel treatment products (Decalaminox range), solutions have been proposed to treat the family of stainless steel (Netinox-Fluidox-Finox) by also offering innovative solutions in terms of electropolishing and derouging of stainless steel in the pharmaceutical sector.

In 2017, Chimiderouil took over the Mecametal brand which also offered surface treatment products on the Belgian, Algerian and Moroccan markets. Chimiderouil continues to offer Mecametal products, among others, in these markets. Building on all these developments and in order to respond to the growth of its activities, Chimiderouil built in 2019 a new surface treatment workshop of more than 2,500 m² meeting BAT standards in the sector and thus offering its customers long-lasting solutions for the treatment of their parts and the supply of surface treatment products.

Expansion and Future Prospects

Chimiderouil also continued to develop its product range by offering stainless steel pickling products free of hydrofluoric acid in their formulation (Range 600).

In 2020, Chimiderouil integrated the activities of the company Saprochim, specialized in industrial descaling operations, with which it had already worked for a long time. This activity is in fact completely complementary to Chimiderouil’s skills.

Chimiderouil today continues to follow market developments and actively participates in research programs on the development of solutions for improving the surface treatment of metal parts obtained by additive manufacturing. This continuous evolution allows Chimiderouil to remain the reference in the field of surface treatment and to remain one of the major players in this field.
